After graduation, J.D. went to work for a Napa Auto Parts store. In 1994 he began working in a John Deere
dealership’s parts department. In January of 2004 he took a Customer Service Representative position
at the dealership.
J.D. is currently a Colfax Chamber of Commerce board member. He has been an active member of the Colfax
Fire Department since 1988. He currently holds the certifications of Fire Fighter 1 and Emergency Medical
Technician-Intermediate.
Considering everything in which he is active, after his children, J.D. considers HHQ as one of the most
rewarding activities. J.D. did not grow up in a Christian home and didn’t start going to church
until he met his wife in 1985. He has been blessed with many positions at First Baptist Church over the
years including a Trustee and a member of the church’s building committee.
J.D. has always liked to sing, starting in school when he was in chorus. He sang some in a country band
in the past so when asked to join HHQ, it just seemed like the logical thing to do. J.D. enjoys singing
for the Lord’s glory and hopes He allows HHQ to continue doing so for many years to come.
